“COSMIC-2 is Worth the Fight。COSMIC is the third-most-important data that goes into[the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts] forecasts. It’s interesting that it’s No.3 even though its cost is a lot less than some of the other things. The more opportunities for the community to secure critical data, the better our options. If there was not $100 million from Taiwan on the table to make this a very cost-effective investment for the U.S. taxpayer, then I think we would not be pushing COSMIC-2. That’s really the game changer in this budgetary environment.”
